Iseya comes to fetch water three times a day and lives about five minutes away. She is 23, married and has three children. She collects 25 litres of water at a time.
“I use this water for drinking, washing, cooking and I wash my children sometimes by bringing them here. Sometimes the children are ill.”
When the children are ill she has to take them to the clinic – nurses here cost up to 15 Birr (which is a lot considering the average wage is 8 Birr per day).
