Living without water
Kirus, age 10
Kirus is 10 years old and in grade 4.
Her school is far away, it takes her 1 hour to walk there and she is in the afternoon shift. She comes to the stream twice a day, early in the morning and after school. She said “I feel tired sometimes”.
There are 3 children (one other girl and a boy) and two adults in her family. She said “my mother collects water for us as well as me. I am the smallest in my family.”
